The UNC School of Medicine has awarded Gabriela a grant to fund research using ARFI imaging for the development of automatic classification methodologies of carotid atherosclerotic plaque composition.
This grant will enable research on advanced modeling methods from ARFI-based techniques applied to in vivo plaques in the the carotid artery of patients with atherosclerosis. This study will be performed in collaboration with the Histology Research Core Facility and Translational Pathology Laboratory at UNC.
